What is Juvéderm®?
Anyone who knows skin care or follows the aesthetic world has heard of hyaluronic acid. Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance in the human body whose job is to hydrate and plump the skin. Unfortunately, it can’t overcome the decrease in collagen (the protein responsible for providing the skin’s support structure) production as we age. That’s why our skin is so saggy, and volume has decreased so much as we turn 50 — our bodies are producing 30 percent less collagen than they did at 20!
